An essential element of a Lean Enterprise is a high level of engagement of the entire workforce. Rather than being asked to “check your brains at the door”, lean employees are active participants in the introduction and sustaining of a company-wide Lean initiative. It follows, then, that every employee needs to be trained in the basics of Lean, and given the tools they need to fulfill this role. Click here to view the eBrochure.

Lean Process Design Interactive Workshop |
While Phases I and V of The Lean Roadmap apply to the entire enterprise, Phases II through IV must be repeated for every area targeted for a Lean Process redesign. This makes Phases II, III, and IV of The Lean Roadmap iterative in nature. A very efficient way to fast-track Lean Process design is to bring together the training and implementation activities. The idea is to learn while conducting the necessary activities to complete a Lean Process design for a specific area of the Enterprise.
The Interactive Lean Process design workshop applies to target areas for which the one-week Kaizen approach will not suffice to develop a complete line design.

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Kaizen |
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a well-established method for improving equipment maintenance, reducing changeover time and eliminating quality defects. It is especially important because it draws on and requires the engagement of the equipment operators, and is thereby a powerful Continuous Improvement method. Effective maintenance polices and procedures are critical in a Lean manufacturing environment.

Kaizen or Rapid Improvement is being practiced around the world, and is a central tool of the Lean Manufacturing approach. Dramatic improvements are often achieved in a very short period of time. The long-term success of the Kaizen approach, however, is less certain. Often the initial gains cannot be maintained, and the area gradually returns to its prior condition.
In order to improve both the actual results of Kaizen efforts, and ensure the long-term maintenance of the changes, FlowAlliance has combined fundamental Lean and Flow Manufacturing techniques and methods with computer modeling tools. Aircraft manufacturers would never consider building a plane without using a wind tunnel. Similarly, modeling of proposed process changes should be an integral part of the Kaizen process.
